The Oppertunity

10 Lime Street is a major new build commercial, office and retail scheme within the heart of the City of London.

The Operation

Working on behalf of our platinum partner ISG, we erected 615t of steel and installed 5,600m2 of holorib decking. Although this job was logistically challenging due to the tight site, all steelwork was completed during a 17 week programme.

ISG had permission to close Lime Street everyday from 10am to 6pm and this enabled us to bring steel to site and unload. Without the road closure the job would have been extremely difficult as Lime Street is very narrow with little passing space.

The size of loads and the number of pieces had to be coordinated by Bourne Steel as the site has no lay-down areas and therefore sometimes steelwork had to be erected directly from the truck. One on-site tower crane enabled us to erect all the steelwork, which included cellular beams for all floors.

The Result

This striking new development comprises 43,000 sq ft of high quality office space with additional retail accommodation.
